Christmas Visual Arts
Choose one of the following options:
  • Make some Christmas wrapping paper from recycled items. Decorate it and personalise it. Consider that you may want to have a wrapping paper theme for yourself or your family this Christmas
  • Create a calendar for next year and personalise it for the person you are giving it to. Have an art work or special photograph for each month. Add birthdays and special occasions to it. There are a number of programs that make calendars for you. Investigate which option (free) might work best for you.
  • Design and create a centrepiece for the table for Christmas dinner. You could work around a theme. It could be edible, contain presents for the guests, hidden messages, recycled, made entirely from the garden (or any outside area)
  • Using recycled materials create themed Christmas decorations eg: all greenery, or based on stars, certain colours, certain materials.
  • Make decorations eg: Streamers, lanterns, hanging cookie decorations, design some activities to make decorations with a young person.
  • Design and make presents using materials that you don’t have to buy!! –just what is in your home right now!!!
